Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold 1.5l Reviews

What do you expect? It’s Captain Morgan!

Saying Captain Morgan isn’t Rum is like saying a Big Mac isn’t a Steak. No it’s not, but hungover on a Sunday, you better hand me that mac and fries! Yeah, yeah Captain Morgan is not “Rum” it’s no Don Papa 10 or Ron Zacapa XO but it’s a little cracker when thrown in a glass with some coke, ice and a lime wedge. It’s medium in body, not too alcoholic and it’s got a pleasant flavour with vanilla and cinnamon shining through. I wouldn’t go sipping it on the decking on a summers eve with a nice Cohiba but after work on a Friday with a pizza and some TV, hell yes! Rum is a cheap spirit to produce, even Price tags on bottles of the best rum the world has to offer are a meagre amount when compared to premium scotch prices. It was drank by slaves and privateers because of this. It is what it is. Don’t throw salt at the Captain, he has a job and that’s to get us 3 sheets to the wind at parties and BBQ’s. You want to sip a 12 year Anejo? Then you’re with the wrong crew!

Rum Type Drink AVOID

You know how when you buy orange drink it's not true orange juice? This is not rum it's a rum flavoured drink don't waste your money on this buy a proper spiced RUM not "spiced gold" because by law you are not allowed to call it rum because in the letter of the law it's a rum flavoured spirit and the spirit tastes like it's been gnarled out of some out fermented spuds with a zippo

I'd rather pour lighter fluid on my groin and inhale the fumes

POOOOOOOOOAAAR! Disgusting. I took a sip of this and it came spraying out of my mouth like urinating the morning after a long night in a brothel. I can't believe I actually paid money for this. Any shop that calls it rum is lying, it's not rum it tastes like cheap vodka and vanilla essence and if you look carefully at the bottle your realize it doesn't mention rum at all so why does anybody else. I feel retarded but not that much as I didn't touch a drop yesterday.
