Belgrove Spiced Fig & Blackberry Rum

I may not be the most suitable person to review this rum as I’m not a great fan of fig and I’ve never even tried a blackberry. My opinion is this, it’s weird, strange and certainly different! Neat it’s sweet and fruity with fig being the predominant flavour. The alcohol burn is harsh. And in the finish there is plenty of flavour going on. As a long drink, this rum definitely tastes better. Whether you use Coca-Cola or lemonade, in fact better with the latter. So if you like your rums a little bit off the wall, quirky even, then I have no qualms in recommending you buy this. However, if you are more of a rum traditionalist then I suggest you give Belgrove Spiced Fig & Blackberry Rum a massive swerve!

An absolutely excellent rum, full of lovely flavours, a definite must have in anybody's spirits cupboard.

As a "veteran of the spiced rum campaign" I tried this rum for the first time this weekend.

I have to say that this is a real game changer! The rum itself is so smooth and the flavour profile is not just different but also refreshing in a market full of ginger and vanilla based flavoured rums.

This rum is great with just ice but it really came into it's own for me when mixed with Pepsi Max. The fruity flavours came through and at a very respectable 40% this is real rum!

I think another order will be placed shortly as this is a smooth, fruity and very drinkable rum indeed!

Not surprised this is currently sold out… it’s amazing! Even just over ice the flavours really pull through.

I made it with an iced tea as it was hot and worked really well.

This is the 2nd flavour Belgrove have released (first was Hazelnut, which was amazing), this is truly just as good. Smell as you open the bottle, they have spot on again. Smell hint of caramel with the Blackcurrant, and you can taste it in the flavour too.
Perfect drink on the rocks and works amazing with ginger beer. I have no doubt being just as amazing in cocktails too.
Would highly recommend this and their other flavour too.

Belgrove Rum have outdone themselves again.
Not a flavour I would normally head towards, but this is amazing.
The smell from the start seems to have hint of caramel with the smell of blackberries and you taste the flavours with every drop.
