Jamaica STC^E 2020 - 1423 Bottling Note

This right here is an independent bottling of some spectacularly flavoursome Jamaican rum, bottled by 1423 in Denmark exclusively for Master of Malt! This expression has the STC^E marque, which isn't often seen, and it boasts plenty of bold, vibrant, estery notes. It was distilled in 2020 and bottled up in June 2021, drawn from a single cask and presented at a punchy 60.6% ABV. It's intensely and excellently flavourful stuff, this.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Anise, guava, black pepper, orange, lime, red chilli flake, ripe banana, subtly medicinal, a light whiff of smoke.

Personal favourite

Simply delicious! Big hit from the high alcohol content but massive flavour from the esters (without some of the more abrasive aftertastes you get with the very high ester marques like DOK and TECA)
