A particularly intriguing rum here from 1423's Single Barrel Selection. It was distilled in Jamaica back in 2014 then matured in ex-bourbon barrels, and before being bottled in August 2020, it was given a finishing period in casks that previously held Merlot wine! Plenty of familiar high ester notes here, mixed with red fruit sweetness from the Merlot casks.
