French Antilles 1423

Part of 1423's S.B.S. Origin Series of characterful unaged rums, this offering from the French Antilles was column distilled from molasses in 2021. Bottled in 2022, with an ester content clocking in at around 500g/hL, it's full of vibrant grassy notes, and tropical fruit funk.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Mango, plums, and grassy, herbal notes give way to peppery spice, and papaya.

Reviews for French Antilles Grand Arome - 1423 S.B.S. Origin Selection
Somewhat Different??????
A wonderful, if slightly 'different' rum to what I'd expected and it wasn't until my second pour that I developed a real love for this. The entire 'Origins' series is a selection of superb rums and I have 10 variants now. Sadly, I've had to import a couple. I can't say if this would work in cocktails as I only every sip neat rum but there's some real complexity here.

Its good
High in esters and I feel worth the money. This one has a real fruity, sweet taste. I'm surprised its not been reviewed yet.
