Danish bottler 1423 is back with another brilliant rum to join its Single Barrel Selection. Hailing from Belize, this molasses-based rum was column distilled in 2005 and matured in a bourbon cask until 2023. A release of 275 bottles.
Silky caramel and leathery oak support layers of milk chocolate and vanilla, with waves of marmalade, sultanas, and a touch of pepper.

For me, this is a rum to sip when there are no distractions that may prevent you appreciating the depth and complexity of this beauty. Despite the fairly high ABV, the alcohol is unobtrusive. This, to my tastes, is excellent value for money.
