Martins de Sá White Port may well be the Portuguese brand's secret weapon, seeing as how white port is supposedly the latest drinking craze in the UK. Bottled at 19% ABV in sunny Portugal, Martins de Sá White Port may not carry the same deep, brooding reds of more classic port types, but that doesn't stop it delighting in citrusy, rich, white grape. White ports are of two varieties, dry and sweet, and the Martins de Sá White is a pinching sweet effort that reveals itself best when served with tonic and crushed ice.
A perfumed and engaging aroma, dominated by fresh and floral tones.
Light and delicately sweet. Suggestions of honeyed pear and ripe quince linger over toasted almonds.
Well balanced, sharp acidity blends maturely with the sweet complexion.

A highly drinkable, complex, elegant port(dangerously refreshing). Admittedly, this is only the second white port I have tried. I've tasted Dows, but this is superior and definitely worth the extra. Delicious & highly recommended.
