Decadent Drinks presents Apero Sponge! Pineau des Cherentes is made with a blend grape must with grape distillate, usually Cognac eau de vie, aged in oak casks for a number of years. This example is composed of equal parts 1975 and 1975/1980 vintages and spent a considerably longer time maturing than your average Pineau des Cherentes. The result is an immensely sweet, rich sipper. The Decadent Drinks team describe it as 'Sweeter than a barrel of candy floss dissolved in a litre of 100-year-old PX sherry!', which is certainly saying something. If you enjoy sweet chutneys and preserves with your cheese board, this ought to fit right in with its decadent, sticky, fruity profile. A release of 120 bottles.
