Staibano Capri Amaro Liqueur

(70cl, 28%)

Staibano Capri Amaro

Staibano Capri Amaro Bottling Note

Traditional Amaro from Staibano in Italy, produced following a secret recipe conceived on the island of Capri. Amalfi lemons are joined by spices, herbs roots, and the unusual addition of rocket leaves, resulting in a fabulously bittersweet profile that should be extremely versatile in cocktails, and great for sipping after meals.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Earthy roots and herbs develop with bittersweet lemons and tangy zest. Wafts of bark balance fruit syrup and a touch of peppery menthol.

Reviews for Staibano Capri Amaro
If there were such a thing as a summer amaro...
A distinct amaro that would not be mistaken for any other (but interestingly does seem to share, much less to the fore, whatever ingredient creates the caramelized candied fruit element that makes Elixir Borsci San Marzano so unique and sublime).

The bitterness is gentle and the herbs ungrassy, making it go down more like a reward than a digestive aid. Very nice stuff and stands apart memorably from the more widely known Italian after dinner bitters.
