This Double Crème de Cassis from Nusbaumer is made from an infusion of berries in blackcurrant eau-de-vie brandy. There is enough sweetness to balance the overtly bright and sharper flavour notes too, which gives this distillate a gentle intensity that builds to a clean and smooth finish. Would be suitable for an upscale take on a Kir, or served neat over ice.
With a bouquet of bramble and wild blackcurrants.
Smooth and intense.
