The Luxardo family first created this apricot liqueur when the City of Rome organised a competition among Italian spirits producers, looking for a new liqueur to represent the capital city. Luxardo Apricot won first prize! It's made by infusing pulped apricots in sugar beet alcohol for a richly fruity profile, with elegant spice and nutty depth.
