The Joseph Cartron company in France use a selection of wild strawberries and Plougastel strawberries, known for their fragrant, perfumed flavour profile, to create their Creme De Fraise Des Bois liqueur. Josepeh Cartron started his company in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1882, and you can bet they picked up a thing or two about making great liqueurs over the (many, many) years.
