Description

A variation on the classic Grand Marnier recipe, the Louis Alexandre is made with fine old Cognac and the essence of wild oranges. Not quite as sweet as the original recipe, this leans a little more towards the drier side of things, and works very well in cocktails.

Overall

Big with waxy orange zest, followed by drier, herbal hints. Vanilla bean and a touch of oak-y spice.

A mature upgrade

Less bright and orange forward than the standard GM but develops nicely on the palate adding more warmth and a much smoother finish.

Very nice drink on a summers evening

It is a very smooth easy to drink liquer with ice. People will be surprised at how mellow the drink is Not a drink if you only want one bottle. You could get through 2 without a pause
