
A very snazzy bottle of The King's Ginger liqueur from Berry Bros. & Rudd, presented at the lower strength of 29.9% ABV. As the story goes, King Edward VII's doctor was concerned about the monarch, and in 1903 asked Berry Bros. & Rudd to create something to warm him – and so the liqueur was born. This is its modern take on the historical tipple! A suitably warming sipper, or a great addition to Scotch whisky cocktails.
A zip of lemon peel, with sweet candied ginger and fiery, drier root ginger on the finish.

BBR have totally and utterly destroyed what was once a supreme product. Whatever you do, don't buy it. It's awful, thin, dreadfully flavoured and a total dissapointment. I can only hope they reconsider and bring back the original. No stars.
It's truly barbaric what BB&R have done to this once imperious liquor!! The original Kings Ginger was THE best liquor out there, and I was a regular customer (couldn't get enough of the stuff!). This new version, besides from dropping the ABV from 41% to 29.9%, is absolutely terrible!! Tastes purely of sickly lemon - it's basically like drinking a Limomcello, or Fanta Lemon. It's truly woeful!! So sad that the illustrious name of 'The Kings Ginger' is now attributed to this rubbish. I won't be buying anymore of this new version for sure. Bring back the 'old' Kings Ginger!!
I am so disappointed! Kings Ginger WAS my favourite tipple to have at home. This new flavouring is terrible. Very lemony. To me it is not nice at all. I had two sips and that was me done! Such a shame. The old bottle was so much better as well : (
Awful. Not a patch on the original black bottle. Why on earth can’t we buy the black bottle ANYWHERE? Bring it back ASAP and the original recipe. Please.
I don’t care what it says on the bottle, this is not The King’s Ginger. Poor, weak, and reminiscent of lavatory cleaner. Please please BB&R, bring back our drink!
