Arran Gold - quality, smooth, with a good and gentle whisky bite. All my guests liked it! served cold on its own, no ice to dilute. What a treat! ordered six more.
With this being a whisky cream liqueur, there is no getting around the inevitable comparison to Bailey's. BUT! there just is no comparison. As delicious as Bailey's is, it is also overly sweet and one-dimensional. Being a huge fan of Arran whiskies anyway, I may be biased, but there is just so much more character in Arran Gold. It is incredibly rich, yes, but you can also taste the lightness of Arran single malt. Just as a quick tip: this makes the most incredible tiramisu. While far from traditional, try mixing this in with the mascarpone mix. Blends so beautifully with the coffee that the biscuits are dipped in. Absolute, heavenly perfection. As @Gold standard whisky Liqueur said, get more than one bottle, otherwise you'll be kicking yourself!
