Description
A South African cream liqueur distilled from the fruit of the Marula tree. The flavour of Amarula is of fruit and caramel, and it's very quaffable. It won a Gold at the 2006 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. There's also a majestic elephant on the label, and Amarula has its own trust (The Amarula Trust) that raises funds for conservation, safeguarding, and education projects, dedicated to elephant protection.

Nose
Creamy almond, nougat, hints of figs, digestive biscuit, and caramel.
Palate
Sweet and tropical with notes of guava, fig, vanilla, crème caramel, and allspice.
Finish
Long and very creamy. Hints of gingerbread.
