While the original Whitley Neill Gin is inspired by the exotic flavours of Africa, their Rhubarb & Ginger Gin variation takes inspiration from closer to the Whitley family's homestead.
Enjoyably fruity on the nose, with rhubarb preserve and baked apple. Hints of leafy herbs grow in the background.
Orange, ginger and coriander arrive on the palate, though it's still dominated by rhubarb. A core of earthy juniper builds.
A tangy touch of tartness appears later on, balanced by black pepper and gingerbread.

Did not like it, to overpowering with the ginger for my taste
Very tasty. Have never had straight up gin, but this was strong, sweet and smooth. Leaves a fruity essence behind, I already know with some ginger ale and a lemon wedge it'll make the perfect summer drink. Must try!
I have never tried gin until yesterday. Rhubarb and ginger is the best thing I have ever tasted. Wonderful fresh, fruity taste. I love it
Had this in a bar last night and it had no flavour that I could discern. Compared to the Edinburgh Gin variety it's rubbish.
Whitley Neills standard gin is probably my favourite 'sub-premium'/'supermarket available' gin but their flavoured offerings are less impressive. Slightly synthetic flavoured for me.
