A cask-aged gin from the Winchester Distillery, (made with juniper, grapefruit zest, cassia bark, fennel seed, orris, angelica, lavender and locally-grown watercress), which is allowed a brief resting period of a few weeks in German oak barrels. Tasty stuff from the Hampshire-based city.
Herbaceous and peppery, though somewhat mellowed by hints of vanilla from the cask-ageing.
