Monkey 47 Dry Gin

Sorry about this...

We can't actually ship Monkey 47 Dry Gin to you in United States at the moment. We're working on a solution.

Monkey 47 Bottling Note

An unusual gin from the Black Forest in Germany, Monkey 47 contains a unique ingredient. No, not that! Lingonberries! The 47 comes from the number of botanicals that go into this unique gin, and the fact it's bottled at a healthy 47%. It seems that the botanicals speak for themselves, as the gin has received bucketfuls of critical acclaim. Some say less is more, not for Monkey 47!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Oh there is a lot going on here... woody, vegetable smells under pin fresh grassy citrus notes and botanical sweetness, like a pine forest after the rain.

Palate: Predictably complex, this is a robust and powerful gin with plenty of spice, fruit and herb flavours. It's very well structured, and difficult to unpick but a citrus fresh start segues into pine and wood notes for a drying finish.

Finish: Wooded and reassuringly heavy.

Overall: A unique gin, that is crying out to be made into a Martini. It'll need an equally robust vermouth though.

Monkey 47 Dry Gin Reviews

This isn't gin, but it's absolutely delicious.
Interesting with ice....and packs a punch.
Wonderful with tonic.
It's hard to see how this could not be labelled as gin, but it really isn't. So don't think about it as such.
Just enjoy it.

16th August 2020

Its own thing. I like it

Tasted with ice and a slim slice of lime.
First of all, this is very un-gin-like. There is just the barest hint of juniper, but lots of flowers and herbs. It is definitely different. It has character. It can be drunk neat without drama, which is unusual for gin. Especially gin this strong. Will update once I track down some Bickford's tonic. :-)

15th August 2020

It's like they tried too hard, and came up short

I had high hopes for Monkey 47, based on some of the reviews I'd read. But I was rather disappointed, as it didn't live up to the hype.
The flavour was... interesting. The closest thing I could come up with is a combination of Bombay Sapphire and Ransom Old Tom gins, but not as good as either.
I think that the creators became obsessed with reaching that "magical" 47th ingredient early on in the creation, but ended up throwing in all sorts of botanicals to reach that number; unfortunately, more isn't always better, and some of the botanicals clearly didn't complement the whole product. There were SO many flavours bouncing around the tongue that it was more of a mess than refined and complex.
I'm not saying that it was bad, just not very good. And when it's priced as high as what I paid for a bottle, it ought to be fantastic.

15th May 2020

Beautiful Gin, probably my new favourite. It's such a flavourful drink, just a shame the bottle isn't bigger! 😁

3rd May 2020

I know I’m supposed to like this

But just too heavy for me - hangovers are much worse and much earlier with this one! I didn’t think it had much subtly of flavour and for me there are nicer gins out there

27th April 2020

Fabulous! Got this,as a Christmas present but only just opened it. Why did I wait so long! Beautiful citrus taste with a kick. Will most definitely be buying more.

26th April 2020

I drank it with ginger. Not strong or sweet which I like. Light and smooth.

6th January 2020

My favourite Gin ever!!

Absolutely love this gin. Best with a decent tonic, ice and slice of lime or cucumber in a balloon Gin glass.

1st August 2019

This liquor is a lot of things but not gin as i know it.

Buyed a bottle of this on expectations to find something truly uniqe. And uniqe it is , it tastes a lot of things but not like any other gin. For me this is close to confusing and guess for those with a far more impresive palate there can be a great palate. Personally i prefer a lot of gins over this.

2nd July 2019

Perfectly evening GnT

Amazing, but less og summer drink and more something to enjoy om a book and rainy day.

Citrus hints ho well with a sqeezed lime wedge and garnished with spruse stem cutting...

9th June 2019

Love it. Most demanding gin in my bar.

Best gin
Love with fresh blueberries

8th June 2019

Love this gin with elderflower tonic.
Mind blowing!

25th May 2019

Hot Mess

Can't understand how this is so pricy, and it's been showing up everywhere. My bar got a bottle that our liquor rep tossed in, we've been pouring it for free to favorite guests just to kill the bottle. There's a whole bunch of stuff going on in this, and none of that stuff is gin. Tastes kinda terrible and very confused. It's exactly what I would expect to happen with a group of enthusiastic, well-meaning Germans trying to make gin.

Exactly as the taster describes. Like someone dumped a pine forest after the rain into the bottle and strained out all the planty bits.

Also, "the exoticism of India"? What year is this?

4th May 2019

Perfect Gin for anyone anytime

Fantastic first tried Monkey 47 in Frankfurt now it’s my gin of choice wherever I go spread the word

4th May 2019

Quite yummy. Had it in a tall glass with some ice, lemon slice and some tonic. Cheerio.

27th April 2019

Lovely tipple

Should be sipped with ice or made into a martini. No tonic should go near this. Very nice gin!

13th April 2019

Sure it is complex, sure it is multi-faceted, sure it has a gazillion flavours...BUT! It is not proper gin. Goodness me is nothing more than very well made "SCHNAPPS", I.M.O.P. Gin has been, as a successor to Genever (traditionally malt based) a neutral grained spirit (not molasses), and as such, doesn't have an underlying sweetness. Juniper and three to four other herbs is all that it takes...'keep it simple stupid is a phrase that comes to mind'.

26th March 2019

This is a awesome drink ..That guy who puts 2.5 is a cheap arse who doesnt know what he's doing.. Go for a cheaper one so you'll value it more..

7th March 2019

You don't need 47 ingredients to make anything

It is a good gin. But no gin, whisky, wine, or perfume can be said to be universally the best, or even better than other top ones. It all comes down to taste. However good this gin is, I am put off by the price, and the smooth marketing. Forty-seven ingredients? They can't be serious that this matters. It is like I grab 47 tubes of paint and mix them together to create my special color, which I call 47 mud. That so many people are pursuing it with so many superlatives mostly shows their marketing is working.

18th February 2019

Too many Martinis

Best martini I’ve had all day!!!

20th January 2019

A must if you like gin!!

Discovered while overhearing a conversation at a bar in Enchanted Resort in beautiful Sedona. The bar actually had a bottle. Now I’m not a gin fan, but this one is AMAZING! I had it in a martini, clean with a twist, extra chilled! I’ll never drink another gin again!

14th January 2019

Deliciously complex

Absolutely delicious - Shame to sully it with anything more than a couple of chunks of ice.

12th January 2019

Often order at bars

Very nice gin

3rd January 2019

Best enjoyed with citrus, mint and great conversations on art, graffiti, new media and moviemaking :)

The best gin ever ! I had my first gulp at ‘The Flying Horse’@Soho. The lad at the counter was generous to empty the last few pegs that he had and i’m ever glued to this awesome dry gin. I’ve been able to pick a few bottles when ever I travel, but then am always on the look for the monkey to be here in India!

31st December 2018

Sitting in City of Dreams Manila right this moment and enjoying a GT made of Monkey. I do love Hendricks but this is a damn good gin.

29th December 2018

Best gin ever.

26th December 2018

Beautiful flavours and crisp taste - buy it

An amazing gin

22nd November 2018

Beautiful depth of taste

A beautiful gin that is full of flavour, with is at times citrusy and fresh, and yet somehow takes a fantastic medicinal turn, perhaps it is the pine overtones, whatever it is it totally works and because it is so damn good, deserves a top notch tonic. It can be appreciated alone or with a slice of orange and a stick of cinnamon with lashings of ice.

20th November 2018

16th November 2018

Beautiful citrus flavoured pink gin

Gorgeous flavour with a taste of oranges. It is a vivid pink in colour. Quality gin

28th October 2018

24th August 2018

Lady's First Hotel lobby on the rocks, lemon, soda

22nd August 2018

Nothing else compares

No other gin comes close. Flavours are out of this world.. Highly recommended.

21st August 2018

Very fine gin - particularly when served with orange peel and vanilla bean. Seriously.

I tried this for the first time this summer at a restaurant in Lisbon that boasted 18 pages (small print) of different types of gin. I don’t often veer from my usual order as I am always disappointed. But the options were dizzying and I asked the bartender for his recommendation. He asked me what flavours I like. I said citrus. He said the choice was obvious in that case. He served it was a peel of orange and a vanilla bean - the only way he would serve it. Refuses to serve it with lemon or lime. I was skeptical. It was, in a word, perfect.

11th August 2018

Excellent gin

Just tucking into first Monkey. Fantastic. Will go again I think. 🍸

19th July 2018

2nd Best Gin in the World!

I've drank many, many gins and Monkey 47 is the second best gin in the world.
(the best gin in the world is "Gutsy Monkey").

Worthy of 5 stars and worth every penny.

24th June 2018

WAAAY Overpriced.

It just has quinine in it. You can immediately smell it. It's like paying $75 for a premixed gin and tonic, just add seltzer water. Overpriced gimmick.

22nd June 2018

Great tasting Gin

Best Gin I have ever tasted - as simple as that !

14th June 2018

Just tried it, bloody beautiful

8th June 2018

Long time gin lover, I just found my new favorite gin. Delicious.

2nd June 2018

By far the best gin I have ever tasted! The uniqueness of Monkey 47 is splendidly refreshing and complex. Absolutely my new favorite spirit!

21st May 2018

Totally recommend

Absolutely delicious,smells divine tastes amazing

12th May 2018

delightful herbal essence. notes of cranberry.

damn good. I say.

9th May 2018

The exquisite taste if this gin is only reflective of the care and expertise put into the quality of this gin. Can’t say more...

5th May 2018

Weird taste, not for me

Didn't like it. Strong taste that is not like any other gin I've drunk. Approach with caution. Respect to the many who obviously enjoy it.

27th April 2018

First time tasting

Was excited to try my first Monkey 47 last night. Had it with wedge of lime, sage and fever tree. Have to say I was a bit disappointed. Wondering if I maybe just didn’t get the garnishing right.

14th April 2018

Best I've ever had

Tried this for the first time last night at my local cigar bar. I immediately noticed the several new gin selections they had and asked the bartender and owner if they could recommend one. The bartender hadn't had a chance to try them but said he was most excited for the monkey. The owner had tried them already and she said the Monkey was her favorite. I got it with tonic and a little lime juice and was blown away. Best I ever had. I got a second G&T that night with one of the other new bottles they had but after the Monkey any other gin just doesn't compare. Safe to say I'll be drinking this a lot now.

31st March 2018

Discovered this on Saturday night with a slice of grapefruit and fever tree tonic. So delicious I have bought a bottle. Looking forward to 6.00. pm!!

12th March 2018

Over rated

The beautiful branding and design really don't justify the cost here, despite it's Schwarzwald heritage.

Why 47 ingredients? You certainly can't taste them all. Seems like a marketing ploy to me... Even the most verbose booze snob would struggle to name even half I reckon.

It tastes confused to my palate - not really knowing where in the flavour spectrum it really wants to sit... Not overtly citrusy, floral, spiced or sweet to start. Complex is correct, so lots to talk about - does it make a great gin? Not convinced.

The finish reminiscent of cough syrup.

10th February 2018

Great, best gin I have ever had! Smooth, good with just ice or tonic or ginger ale. Will definitely get more

12th January 2018

Flavor bomb in your mouth!

Love it. I asked for top-shelf gin for Christmas. Monkey 47 and Botanist were my 2 favorites, but this is stand alone.

3rd January 2018

None better

Absolutely perfect. Nectar of the gods.

The best

19th November 2017

Fuckin love it 😂😂😂

29th October 2017

A late-in-life breakthrough and breakout

What a wonderful surprise. Never met a martini I didn't like, but neither had I ever tried gin neat, until a couple of days ago. With a friend on an urban loft balcony, glorious summer evening, cigar lit, nice cheese on the plate ... my friend offered a "sipping gin", and I figured -- okay, why not?

There will always be a bottle in my liquor cabinet from now on. For sipping, not for mixing. Delicious.

5th September 2017

Had it for the first time at my local The Ship Centurian in Whitstable Kent.
Loved it to bits.

13th August 2017

Spot on.... love it.

I'm a big Hendricks fan (and still am) this however is a very different taste and one to be savoured, with Fever tree Mediterranean it tastes fantastic.... try it you'll love it.... must get my local boozer to start selling it.

Lovely tasting Gin

Many thanks to the Monkeys.

9th August 2017

Could be the best affordable Gin that is made in Germany. Imho Applaus Gin from Stuttgart comes in second.

2nd August 2017

Great tasting Gin

Tried this particular Gin in Munich last week, recommend a single shot with ice & rine of an orange, low sugar based tonic, works well

19th July 2017

The best Gin I have ever had

Amazing is the word

10th July 2017

Absolutely amazing

8th July 2017

After reading the reviews i tried hunting down a bottle here in Montreal. It took a few Months wait, but they finaly got it back in stock. I picked up two bottles to be safe. I'm not the biggest connoisseur, I usually stick to bombay or when i want to spend a little extra, i get a nice bottle of hendrix. When we opened up the bottle, both my wife and I could detect the above average floral and spicy fragrances. Mix it with some canadian club tonic and a fresh slice of cucumber from the garden on ice. The first sip went downnn so smoothly. It was like nectar of the gods. What a refreshing taste. Not to syrupy or a strong alcohol hit. Its delicate and smooth. I was at work thr next day and all i could think of, was that i could t wait to get home to have another. Its a bit pricy for my budget. This will be my definitely notch up gin when i want to spoil myself. Ill be recommending this beauty to any gin lovers. If you want to enter the gin world, start with this one, youll be hooked.

1st July 2017

I am a gin connoisseur and have been for 18 years. Of all the gins, Monkey 47 is the pinnacle all others try to reach. Many place a close second but this gin is complex and spectacular. I've turned many imbibers (noun form) who hate the G word to love and respect the flavors Monkey 47 offers the palate. There is no need for tonic or soda. Straight. Neat or on the rocks with a zest of lemon.

22nd June 2017

This has something special

To be honest I've never ever been a gin lover my mother drank it when we where growing up but never did I like the taste. Until last year when I was in Spain I was in I gin bar with friends and got bought a monkey 47 I had it not to be rude and WOW it was amazing. So now I don't hesitate to go out and stock up on 47 big thumbs up from me.

19th June 2017

As good as it gets!

One night in Amsterdam my wife and I and another couple went to the bar in the Pulitzer Hotel. As a gin drinker I asked the bartender if there was a particular gin he would recommend. Without hesitation he said Monkey 47 . Having never heard of it I was intrigued, He'd made a Monkey 47 with a splash of Fever Tree Indian Tonic garnished with an orange peel infused with three cloves. I was immediately blow away and have been drinking it since . It is by far the most complex and enjoyable Gin and can be enjoyed neat as well as in a cocktail. I get it by the case ( 6 bottles) and have converted many vodka drinkers to the Monkey.

9th June 2017

Delicious, and uniquely different.

Loved it! Awesome taste, and it was great in my cocktail. Can't wait to try it in a martini.

6th June 2017

Tastes horrible! Very much like the waste stream from a chemical factory. But each to their own

3rd June 2017

I am a bartender, I would say this is the best gin....mouth watering...

30th May 2017

Finally a drink worth pouring.

I don't like Gin, I don't even know why I tried it. But this little monkey 🐒 is definitely my tipple of the Summer (maybe autumn, winter and spring too) It is a big price for a little bottle but you just have to enjoy and savour. It makes it all the more special.

16th May 2017

Like no other gin I've ever had

Amazing. Totally different yet still gin at heart. The best I've ever had.

2nd May 2017

My new favorite gin

I tried this recently after reading about it on a website. It truly will take your gin tasting to a new level. It is very expensive as far as gin goes but it is well worth it. Crispy, slightly fruity and flavorful with a lot going on. Try it. It is my new favorite gin.

2nd May 2017

Different. But not my taste.

30th April 2017

I thought all gin tasted like perfume before I Tried this stuff

The only gin I will drink

27th April 2017

Most complex yet very smooth. I have it neat, and every sip is better than the previous! Really worth every penny. I especially like the complex lemon notes from the numerous lemony herbs and fruit. Really fantastic.

17th April 2017

Fabulous gin

I had a Monkey 47 with Thomas Henry Grapefruit lemonade at the Tate Modern last night and thought it was fabulous.

8th April 2017

Far better gins out there. Nothing special.

I would buy a lot of different gins and I thought this gin was totally average. Wouldn't buy it again. Far better gins available than this. Disappointed.

19th March 2017

Who knew, it's possible to have a favorite gin!

I try any/every gin--and have never encountered a "favorite" (depends...on the weather, time of day, cocktail recipe, etc.). The Monkey sorta reminds me of Hendrick's-- "contemporary" style, fruity--but smoother, more complex, well balanced, weightier. It's almost like a gin liqueur! So far, I can't bear to drown it in a cocktail: All by itself, in a thin-crystal glass...over one perfect rock. Dazzling.

24th February 2017

Wonderful n heavenly

Simply fantastic!

25th January 2017

deve essere veramente buono

24th November 2016

15th November 2016

Best yet

Seriously good, bought on a punt that it would live up to the did and then some. Managed to drink half a bottle on it's first outing. Citrus and pine yummyness.

24th October 2016

Ruined me for all other gins

This is the best, I don't even need to keep looking, all other gins hold only disappointment now.

12th October 2016

Easily purchased in Washington DC from a wonderful liquor store at 18th n K street. By far the best gin I've yet to taste, worth every penny. I just wish there were bigger bottles.

21st September 2016

Best gin I've every sipped

17th August 2016

Best gin for single malt lovers

I accept I am single malt snob. I tested this at wine club gathering in Singapore recently and was immediately hooked on to the same. brought couple of bottles immediately for my bar.
is best way to taste this
Suggestion to all my single malt friends please try this. One of the best drinks I ever had. On the rock

11th August 2016

great gin but be careful with cocktails

This is an exceptional gin with an exceptional nose and a great taste. Highest quality! Different! But be careful - it doesn't go with every cocktail! 11 out of 10 for the gin and 8 for its cocktail potential.

6th August 2016

One night in Aruba

On a beautiful, starlit night in Aruba, my companion and I returned to our lodging at the New Amsterdam Resort and stopped at the outside cocktail lounge for an end of the evening drink. Our bartender, appologized if he appeared to be distracted but there was a party of approximately 6 individuals testing gin. The gin they were savoring we quickly learned was Monkey 47 Gin. Having had a long association with extra, extra dry Gin Martinis, I was, over the top curious. To my surprise and good fortune, the bartender gave me a taste. I was hooked. Monkey Gin was the best gin I had ever tasted.
Upon returning home to the United States, I tried several times to purchase a bottle. However, was informed that it was not shipped to the United States. Which of course I later discovered was not correct. It is not shipped to Upstate New York but could readily be purchased on Long Island and also in Florida.
One day on returning home from work, there on my porch sat this beautiful bottle of Monkey 47 Gin. I just wanted to let you know that this Sunday, eight of my dearest friends will be joining me to "let out the monkey."
Thank you. Nancy Hennessy

really nice gin hard to get you're head round this one,all sorts of things going on here....loved it.

22nd July 2016

Greatest Gin of all time, by a long shot.

Anyone who considers him/herself somewhat of a gin "connoisseur" knows this is the highest quality gin available. Everyone I know hated Gin, especially Gin & Tonics. Fast-forward a few months later, everyone I know loves a Monkey 47 Gin and Fever-Tree Tonic Water with sliced Cucumbers (unnecessary since it's Monkey, but the only acceptable garnish if that's an interest.) Since I discovered Monkey 47 four years ago, I've yet to experience anything anywhere nearly as bold, delicious, or unique. It truly is quite the experience.

20th July 2016

Ridiculously Amazing!

I've been drinking gin for roughly 15yrs now. I've dabbled in everything from the worst to the best, the cheapest to the most expensive, the mainstream to the unknown. A dear friend was given a bottle of this as a gift. This friend does not care for gin, so he passed the bottle along to me knowing my affection for the delicious variety of alcohol. I keep a regular stock of Hendricks in my liquor cabinet as this is my typical "go to" drink of choice (2 ounces, one ice cube, pure delight). I poured my first sampling of Monkey 47 in my favorite glass over one cube of ice.......I was immediately lost in pure ecstasy. My wife - shockingly - even thought it was "pretty decent", and she hates gin. Monkey 47 is a MUST TRY for any gin conoseuir.

16th July 2016

It's official... I'm a gin snob. sweet tea, a sprig of fresh mint and Monkey 47. The perfect summertime/anytime cocktail

26th June 2016

Intially nothing remarkable, then it ignites with a lemony citrus bang. No bite, just warm overtones. Very strange in a nice way. I added fevertree tonic, which is popular at the moment, suprisingly the taste remained constant until the last sip. This is one of my top 3 gins at present

12th June 2016

Subtle peppery pleasure

label grabbed my attention and who doesn't love a monkey. Well now this peppery monkey creature is superbly on my back and call me Bawana but I am on safari with every drink--- iced or a poured classic martini.

13th February 2016

Sehr Gut

This really is a top gin. Don't spoil it with tonic, just an ice cube (though a drop of orange bitters works very well).

It's slightly stronger than most other gins, and you can certainly taste it. There's lots of flavours from the botanicals - it's quite fruity and rather spicy.

This really is a gin to rival the complexity of a good single malt whisky. Highly recommended.

9th February 2016

Found this in a little shop in Monterey. Wonderful.

29th January 2016

In my humble opinion this is the best gin in the world, and I have tried a lot.

Cheeky Little Monkey

This is the best European gin outside UK in my opinion.
A cheeky surprise of flavours and a musky gin that never fails to make me smile.
Perfect with deep chilled fevertree and nothing else.

One evening at a local Inn, the bottle caught my attention. We asked the bartender what it was. One smell and we were spellbound. Best gin ever. Ran out to get our own bottle and have been hooked ever since. Terrific

Best tasting gin i have ever had in 50 yrs of imbibing the nectar, unfortunately my wife also like it so less for me now.
great just on the rocks. Why put tonic in it and mask the flavours.Tonic is for supermarket gins.

Tried this last night for the 1st time and it was absolutely incredible. Probably the best Gin i've tried to date. Wholly recommended.

30th April 2015

Great gin and perfect tonic

tried this gin in Berlin - great gin and tastes best with Thomas Henry tonic

16th April 2015

Probably the best gin ever. I like Tanqueray10 and Oxley but this has to be the best. Fevertree tonic and a twist of lime - sublime.

Monkey 47

Delicious flavour, introduced with a bottle by a German friend, great find!

11th April 2015

Amazing gin

This gin is quite simply one of the nicest I have tasted!! With a slimline tonic it is a classic combination in which all flavours are complimented.

Monkey 47 - best gin

I had this when I went to a decent UK restaurant. It totally blew my mind. This is the best gin I've ever had. It goes well with the traditional tonic, or vermouth, or a bit of plum, or even just with a little ice - it's heavy enough to hold up by itself. And it is unique, cannot recommend enough.

Cheeky Monkey 47

I have tried many a Gin, but none compare to this! I couldn't quite make out initially what I was smelling but I felt like I was sitting out in a meadow on a Spring day. This Gin is an absolute delight to drink. Beautiful, refreshing, intense. My favourite, definitely. If you like Gin, you must try this!

Monkey 47 at Ruby Jacks Tokyo

I had the pleasure to enjoy a martini made with Monkey 47 with fabulous friends at Ruby Jacks in Tokyo.
It was our first experience with Monkey 47. Absolutely the best of the best!

This is the best tasting gin ever, fresh and viberent, thanks to the bartender at the Courtyard in Switzerland for my new drink.

I Love This Gin

I first tried this gin at Eat Street Social in Minneapolis, MN and I instantly fell in love and had to go buy myself a bottle. It makes the best gin Old-Fashioned I've ever had.

26th November 2014

Wish you could get it in Canada!!!

New favourite after being introduced to it by a German friend. Need to find a way to get this to the LCBO!

4th October 2014

Drink with Pedrino tonic for the most exquisite G and T. Nothing like it!

3rd October 2014

What a Gin!

Superb! One of the smoothest gins I have ever tasted ..... Definitely best taken with simply ice and perhaps a few leaves of mint or slices of cucumber. Would suggest not adding tonic of any kind to it (even Fever Tree!) .New Favourite Gin!

1st August 2014

intriguing flavour

I tried this in a gin bar in bath and have finally hunted down a bottle of it for myself! I like it with a sugar free tonic water and lots of ice, you don't want anything to interfere with the flavours here. It's a really fab drink!

1st August 2014

Loved it in Barcelona, on a quest for it in the US

Barcelona has a very big gin scene and this was one of many, many gins I drank. It was my hands down favorite and I highly recommend it.

29th June 2014

The best gin I've ever tasted, also. I mix it with one cube of ice, freeze the bottle or put a touch of excellent water with it to open the character up.

9th June 2014

Can't get enough of it!

We expanded our gin range at our establishment and I ordered this on the strength of the below reviews...the first bottle was emptied in two days! After trying it neat and in a G&T, I have to agree that it is the top 5 best gins I have come across!

23rd May 2014

The Best!

Best gin I have had. Just returned from a trip to Southern Germany, including the Schwarzwald region and had the opportunity to try this. Simply better than any gin I have had to date.

Makes me proud...

Discovered Monkey 47 on my Uncles bar while visiting back home in Austria. Superb and one of a kind!!!

29th March 2014

best gin discovered so far

10th March 2014

Superb gin

One of the best I have had, and my current favourite. The type of gin where you want to drink the whole bottle in one sitting, but you know you'll be sad when it's gone. Has a lovely aroma. It's a shame the bottle is so small!

23rd January 2014

tony nm

First tried it in Cambodia, the bottle was removed from me as I would have sat there drinking it all. It must be the best Gin available especially when drinking it neat.Thankyou

24th July 2013

New favourite

My partner was so impressed by Monkey 47, he brought the empty bottle back from Frankfurt. One sniff of what was left, and I was hooked. Thank goodness we found a UK distributor. This gin is surprising, bold, complex and uncompromising. Pair it with Fever Tree, and there is nothing like it. Simply, the best.

9th June 2013

Blown away - so smooth

Absolutely amazing gin. Unforgettable with a good quality tonic - no ice - in a tall tasting glass. Had this gem before a meal of seafood - perfect.

Extremely nice presentation also - looks great as a valuable addition to a home bar

23rd April 2013

Dream gin

I first tried this gin about a year ago in Barcelona and fell in love with it. I brought back to bottles to Canada where it is unfortunately not available (I'm working on that).

This is by far the most complex gin I have tasted and definitely a welcome addition to any liquor cabinet.

Agreed with the comment above about the pairing with Fever Tree...

21st April 2013

This is amazing! A real intrigue tasted straight and just perfect with Fentimans tonic.

8th February 2013

What a gin...

Fascinating taken straight, but i definately reccommend in a collins with a touch of cranberry juice to bring out the sweetness. In fact, this gin is sensational with just cranberry juice alone!

27th November 2012

probably the best gin in the world

first tasted in Brugges and blown away.
a complex and inviting taste sensation.
Great with fever tree tonic and fresh lime.
