Martin Miller's Westbourne Strength is, unsurprisingly, from the same chaps behind Martin Miller’s gin. However, the recipe and proportion of the two distillates are different to the original gin, in order to accentuate the length of finish of the 45.2% ABV tipple. The name pays homage to Westbourne Grove in London, where the idea for Martin Miller’s gin first really began to take off. Full of smooth citrus and spice, the Beverage Tasting Institute awarded this 97 points and declared this the best gin in the world and 'Spirit of the Year' in 2003, the year it was released. This would certainly do well in a Martini.
Grapefruit peel, thick cut marmalade, generous earthy juniper and a spicy kick of cardamom.
Juniper becomes sweeter on the palate, though just as generous. Menthol, orange peel and peppercorn.
Refreshing with plenty of fragrant herbs and a pinch of cracked black pepper.

By far the best gin. I prefer no garnish- it does not need it! Just a good tonic (out of a glass bottle...) Buy a bottle, if you don’t like it- don’t drink it, send it to me!
So good I named my dog after it (Miller, not Martin) Amazing with cucumber or strawberries and black pepper
Very clean and smooth, one of the best gin I've had the pleasure of drinking
I recently tried this as part of a worlds best tasting set. I have to say, this is a really clean, juniper heavy treat. It's pretty classic, and I liked me with quite a generous amount of lime - indeed the longer the lime was in there, the better it got. Just a really crisp, clean, pleasant, classic gin. I'd definitely buy the full bottle.
Not having tasted every gin in the world, I'm not sure I can declare this the best however, of the gins I have tried, it's certainly the best gin I've tasted. Smooth beyond words, this refreshing gin is a perfect balance between spirit and taste, having a lighly oily texture. I just can't justify adding tonic (no matter how good) and I heartily recommend drinking Miller's Westbourne straight with a lump of ice. It needs nothing else!
