Fifty Pounds Bottling Note

This is fifty... Fifty Pounds gin is distilled in small quantities, and in single batches. The name comes from the time of George II and the 1736 Gin Act, when a 50 pound tax was levied on those wishing to produce and sell gin. Only two distilleries agreed to pay the tax!

Fifty Pounds Gin Reviews

Refreshing, delicious and moreish

Tried this with a slice of dried grapefruit, plenty of ice and a generic tonic, delicious.

Loved it

One of the most delicious gins I've ever tatsed. Highly recommended.

Love this gin

Bought the gift set at the good food show last year after sampling a few others. This was the best by far. A really great quality smooth gin and will definitely be buying this as my gin of choice. Good with tonic but equally good on its own ...love it.

Just bought this gin at a duty free shop in Colombia, I think it is a very smooth gin, easy to mix with premium mixers like Fentigans.

Pretty enjoyable on the rocks and slice of lemon.

A crisp, clean, classic London dry nose. Slightly earthy with a lovely complexity of juniper and lime peel with an almost minty freshness and a pleasant balancing sweetness. The palate is soft and slightly lactose in character with juniper, lemon/lime. A short but intense burst of alcohol follows with the more herbal botanicals evident on the finish. The palate, although pleasant is not as interesting neat as the nose.
