Jaisalmer Indian Gin

It's the first Indian craft gin from Radico Khaitan - the folks behind Rampur whisky! Jaisalmer is named after the eponymous city, and the tipple pays homage to imperial age of Maharajas and Maharanis. It's produced using copper pot stills at a distillery based in the foothills of the Himalayas. 11 botanicals are used to create the gin, seven of which come from India, including coriander and vetiver, orange and lemon peel, cubeb pepper berries, lemongrass and Darjeeling green tea leaves. This gin would be a fabulous start for any delicious gin-based cocktail.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Juniper takes centre stage, with sweet citrus peel peeking through alongside liquorice, with a lovely prominent and refreshing spicy note.

Reviews for Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin
The easiest and greatest cocktail
The easiest and greatest cocktail recipe I've found for Jaisalmer Jin is
Within a stone glass

two large ice cubes 60 ml of 7up, 120 ml of Fratelli Classic Chenin, and 60 ml of Jaisalmer Jin

That's fantastic—it truly rocks.

Very citrussy. Just add a little tonic or just ice
If it's the one that my grandson served me the other evening (he works in a pub and I had asked for an unusual gin) then it's delicious. I'm sure that was the name and the botanicals sound right. Quite a bitter hint of lemon with the peel and lemongrass, but a really tasty, unusual gin.

Refreshing and crisp
Surprisingly refreshing. You can actually taste the crispness of coriander along with other botanicals. A great finish.

Classy and aromatic
Classy tipple, aromatic, uplifting and smooth. A nice Indian addition to the burgeoning craft gin field.

A must have gin
A wonderful gin. I was totally floored the first time I tasted it. Now I always keep it in my collection.
