Description

A super-premium London Dry Gin, made in London in pot stills, using spring water from Cartmel in the Lake District, it is made with a variety of botanicals, including the quintessential juniper, and the wonderfully English borage and sage. Named World's Best Gin at the World Gin Awards 2014.

Nose

Big and juniper led with citrus, sage leaves and coriander seeds all coming through.

Palate

Dry. Slightly oily too, with bitter orange and earthy notes. Strong juniper once again.

Finish

Quite bitter with angelica.

Overall

Gilpin's gin knows what it's setting out to achieve and then does it. An impressive extra dry gin.

Great stuff

Really quite excellent. Very much a grower - a much more involved and flavoursome gin, but still on the subtle side.

Emily vaughan

The best gin I have ever taster with levels of flavor to discover with each sip. Great bottle too
