Four Pillars Negroni 43.8

The first release from Four Pillars' Bartender Series is the Spiced Negroni Gin! This was developed with Jason from Sydney's The Rook Bar and Four Pillars distiller Cameron, with the intent on making a gin perfect for use in a Negroni cocktail - an honourable endeavour. To do this, they boosted the amount Tasmanian pepperberry leaf and cinnamon used, and added Grains of Paradise, organic blood orange and ginger to the recipe.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Familiar herbaceous notes mixed with equally familiar dark fruit sweetness. A hint of ginger and rhubarb, too.

Palate Rather festive at first, with cinnamon and orange. Hints of fennel and damson begin to take shape on the mid-palate.

Finish Peppermint and black liquorice on the finish.

Stunning spiced gin!
Simply delicious, often with spiced gins they lack the spice but this is wonderful stuff. So warm and spicy, goes really well with Double Dutch tonic and a slice of orange
