A Navy Strength addition to the Four Pillars range of gins distilled in Australia! Not only has this been bottled at an intense 58.8% ABV, they've also added finger limes to their botanical selection (which also includes Tasmanian pepperberry, lemon myrtle, cinnamon, cardamom, coriander seeds, star anise, juniper, lavender, angelica root and whole oranges).

I've been going through a sloe gin making craze recently. This and Plymouth Navy strength make my favourite sloe gin so far. No idea how it takes without 500 grams of sles berries and half that again in sugar mind. I probably should have kept some spare.
If you are a fan of naval strength gins, and you're looking for something thats intense and packing a serious amount of fresh botanicals I don't think you can go too far wrong with this expression from Four Pillars. The finger limes give this a level of clean citrus intensity that I'd never had before. I have been told that at the distillery they suggest this is served solo over ice; personally I think this is best with a premium tonic and a little fresh ginger. Because of its strength, you don't need much, and it just keeps giving you bags of flavour all the way down - for me thats the beauty of naval strength gins and after all who wants a watery G&T? It's also a touch herbaceous and subtly sweet. Incredibly smooth to-boot and wouldn't be lost in a Gimlet, Gin Sour or any number of other gin based concoctions. It's an absolute cracker.
