From the The Forest Distillery in The Peak District comes only the second product it has ever produced, that uses the already successful Forest Gin as its base.
With botanicals sourced from the local forest and ground by hand in a pestle & mortar, this tea-influenced gin was distilled just once in the tiny 30 litre pot still at The Forest Distillery. At this point, a blend of Earl Grey Tea from Cheshire blenders Quinteassential was added, along with spring water from the Peak District.
Herbal, earthy flavours blend with delicate notes of oolong, marigold and Sicilian bergamot.
It is very unusual but lovely. Its a golden amber colour with a light, smokey Earl Grey like flavour. For me it's a gin for sipping neat, rather than a long drink with tonic. Give a try - you may be pleasantly surprised!
