Hertfordshire's Copper in the Clouds distillery delves into the world of culinary prestige and umami depth with this limited edition Black Truffle Gin. Each batch showcases the variation in flavour profile of truffles harvested during different seasons, and in different countries for a balance of savoury complexity and bright botanicals that's screaming to be stirred up in a Martini.
Nutty, earthy, savoury notes of black truffle, cut through with fresh citrus peels, a touch of pepper, and an elegant creamy texture.

Love this stuff. I was looking for a gin with potent truffle flavour and although I enjoyed the Cambridge Distillery’s white truffle gin, I felt like it lacked a bit of punch in the truffle department; this one certainly didn’t. I can see why it might not be for everyone as it really is potent and perhaps quite niche in its application, but I really enjoy using it in a truffle negroni riff. If you’re after a gin where truffle is the star, this is definitely the one. PS, avoid the bitter bastards black truffle bitters; the truffle note is practically nonexistent.
