Blackwoods 2021 vintage dry gin is chock full of botanicals from the Scottish coast. Like kelp. That's properly Scottish and coastal. So's sea-water mint, which is in here. And citrusy sea buckthorn. Alongside them are more classic gin ingredients like juniper, grapefruit, lime, fennel, and black pepper. Pop some tonic on this with a thick wedge of pink grapefruit and you'll have a lovely drink. We are regular buyers of this gin. It is our favourite and we discovered it walking on Unst on the tops to muckle flugga where they pick some of the botanicals for the gin. That convinced us to buy it.
We discovered this gin during a visit to the Northern Isles and have been drinking it ever since. It is our favourite. A true gin none of this silly flavours or garish colours just proper gin with Botannicals from Muckleflucker on Unst. The most northern island in the British Isles. Beat that dull gin.
