Professors Twisted 70cl

From Afterthought Spirits comes Twisted Gin! The gin was named after the the way the folks behind the spirit took 17th century methods, and put a modern twist (geddit?) on them. The star botanicals here are Meadowsweet, fresh lime, orange and tangerine peel and Indian Sarsaparilla, an aromatic root. If you pair this one with tonic, then don't forget a twist of orange peel to garnish.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Delicate aromatic spices, with fresh and piney juniper, liquorice, nutty citrus and a bright burst of tangy and sweet citrus peel.

I have now tried a few of these gins and they are top quality. One bit of advice just watch the measures if u get the navy strength 🤣

Disappointing
I had really high hopes for this gin. Unfortunately not as much effort has gone into the gin as has gone into designing the bottle. Tastes cheap. It is drinkable with a fair amount of tonic, but nothing special.

Balanced
Have to say that this is an amazing blend of flavours. So many gins are juniper heavy and that kills the botanicals.
This one really gets the balance right so all the flavours have a chance to talk to the nose and pallet

Refreshing citrussy Gin
We purchased a couple of bottles directly from the distillery last month and now see its also available on master of malt, it's a lovely citrussy Gin with an interesting aftertase (sarsparilla).
I prefer my Gin with fresh orange juice instead of tonic and this one mixes with it really well.

Winner
This is a winner. The sarsaparilla is just a hint but the overall balance is amazing

Disappointing
Bitter and really rather unpleasant.

Overpriced and decidedly average
Nearly £40 for a 500ml bottle of very average gin?! Yet another bandwagon gin brand to avoid.
