6 O'Clock gin is made by Bramley and Gage - top English liqueur producers, and the gin itself is made with just 7 botanicals including elderflowers and citrus peel.
Vibrant, clean and classic in profile from the get-go, it’s a textbook London dry nose. The juniper leads, full-bodied and fresh with plenty of pine, before elderflower adds this subtle, summery sweetness. The coriander and orange peel are unmistakable and work in-tandem to deliver a crisp, warming and aromatic dose of citrus throughout.
The palate is a continuation of the nose: juniper-forward and proud. The citrus and floral notes are beautifully balanced and the juniper is refined and bolstered by a full, almost chewy texture.
Coriander seed heat is present in a long and resinous finish.
Honestly a very bland gin, there is nothing wrong with it as such, it's just not really got any stand out flavours to set it aside from the literal ocean of gin available these days. A gentle elderflower note is all I really get.
This is a beautiful gin soft citrusy and very palatable it’s become a favourite
Not smooth at all it has a very strong slightly off floral note. Not my kind of gin.
I received a sample of this gin in the Ginvent Advent Calendar. I have five more days to go, but so far this is not only my favorite gin in the calendar, it is my favorite gin.
Bought this on a whim. Absolutely lovely with ice and fever tree tonic and a little Rosemary. Tastes like a quality gin. Interesting bottle and glass stopper.
