Description

A spiced rum from The Original Islay Rum brand here. It's peated, as you would expect from something from the famous Scottish isle known for smoky whisky, and spiced with orange peel, ginger, and cacao nibs.

Overall

Intensely smoky and warm with orange chocolate and baking spices in support.

A revelation

Loving Islay malts and rum, I couldn't resist trying this. I had no great expectations and thought it would need copious amounts of orange juice to make it palatable. Imagine my surprise to find it tastes absolutely fantastic neat. A genuine surprise and an utter delight. Highly recommended.
