Henriques & Henriques is a Madeira wine producer based on the Portuguese island that is recognized for its high-quality fortified wines. It was founded in 1850 by João Gonçalves Henriques and his friend Francisco Eduardo Henriques. The company owns vineyards in various parts of Madeira, including the sub-regions of Câmara de Lobos, Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, and São Vicente. These vineyards are planted with traditional grape varieties such as sercial, verdelho, bual, and malmsey, which are used to produce different styles of Madeira wine using traditional winemaking methods, which close attention paid to the ageing process. The wines are aged in oak casks using the traditional "Canteiro" system, where the casks are gradually moved from the warm upper floors of the winery to the cooler lower floors over a period of many years.
The portfolio of Henriques & Henriques includes a range of Madeira wines, from dry and medium-dry styles to sweet and vintage variations and the wines have received numerous awards and accolades.
