A beautiful 1990 vintage Cognac from top producers, Ragnaud-Sabourin. This was distilled from grapes from the Grande Champagne region - the very top cru in Cognac!

I am new to Cognac but it is has always been a drink that I have been intrigued by so decided to test my palate with a few samples. After tasting some of the top XO's I found that I enjoyed the smoother Cognac's like the Ragnaud-Sabourin Grande Champagne. I enjoyed that one so much that I thought I would give this one a try. The nose of this drink is amazing with so much going on, it is very floral with honey, herbs, spices and cigars. The pallet was very spicy and a little to much for me, it actually overpowered most of the other flavours I could taste so maybe this is a Cognac for the more experienced drinker.
