Camus VSOP Borderies Single Estate 70cl
Camus VSOP Borderies Single Estate
A single estate expression from Camus (the Cognac house, not the absurdist author), made with eaux-de-vie from a single estate in the Borderies cru - the smallest of the Cognac regions, renowned for producing nutty, floral, aromatic Cognac. This VSOP certainly has some of those characteristics, and it's really rather excellent indeed.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Soft cedar, orange oil, Brazil nut leading into vanilla blossom and butterscotch.
Palate
Orchard fruits, think poached pear and baked apple, alongside hazelnut, light caramel, and a touch of cinnamon spice. The floral note lingers without turning soapy.
Finish
Lingering honey, soft oak, and a faint echo of dried flowers.
