Roger Groult 8 Year Old 70cl

Roger Groult produces Calvados in Pays d'Auge, France, using over 30 varieties of apple for a complex, intriguing flavour profile. Although the laws in Pays d'Auge say you are allowed to use pears in your Calvados (not much, but pears never-the-less!), Groult does not. It's all apples!

This is Groult's 8 year old expression, matured in old French oak casks. Alongside the ripe, intense apple notes on the nose, you'll fine hints of rancio, raisins, cinnamon spice and a subtle nuttiness.
