A tremendous effort, bringing the spiciness and vanilla richness of those American whiskeys to the bold French apple brandy. Ought to make for an incredible postprandial sip.
Buttery biscuits, toffee, juicy apple and a smidge of redcurrant, lingering oaky char and five-spice.
