The first of a new series for Boulard Calvados, which will see its marvellous apple-based brandy finished in a variety of casks - this particular expression has enjoyed a finishing period in bourbon casks! You're more likely to see Calvados matured in new oak casks, or casks that have previously housed more Calvados, so seeing different types of casks begin to be experimented with is very exciting indeed.
Rounded orchard fruit sweetness, with a hint of honey and chocolate developing later on. Just a tiny touch of smoke appears, too.
