Barreiro Cachaça Bottling Note
Here we have Velho Barreiro ‘yellow label’, a light, easy-going Brazilian Cachaça made at the Tatuzinho distillery. It’s produced by double distilling sugar cane juice in a column still, and then ageing the liquid in a large oak vat to enhance the complex vegetal flavours. This ought to make a mean Caipirinha. Very nicely packaged too...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Herby vegetal aromas alongside lime and lemon citrus peel, apples and a little brown sugar.
Palate: Earthy and spiced straight off the bat, with black pepper. Tangy citrus with crisp apples and pears, gently sweet with a good pinch of baking spices.
Finish: Natural sweet notes linger, along with slightly charred vegetal notes.

Velho Barreiro Cachaça Reviews
Don't worry about the haters
Velho Barreiro was for me a fine discovery and the start of a romance that made even my wife a little bit jealous. The earthy flavor kicks off memories of a visit to a brazilian sugar cane mill that I made back in the 80's, where I had an affair with a lovely girl named Carlinha... and let me say, after 3 doses of this bad boy you will be dancing capoeira like Mestre Bimba himself. Highly recommended.

To make drinks
I can see bad reviews about this drink.
I am from Brasil and that's the sort of drink you mix with a lots of ice, sliced lime and sugar, the famous Caipirinha drink, brazilian favourite. It's a cheap Cachaca over there altough good enough to make drinks. It's from sugar cane, strong and sweet. And if you have ever been near to Sugar Cane mill, it smells exactly like that.
If you want to drink it a it is, I would advise an aged gold cachaca

Mistery drink
This is something indescribable, I really don't get it why are there a lot of great reviews out there for this... stuff. It smells downright horrible, like you are in a bus full of old smelly ladies in a hot summer! Body odour in its worst. The taste and finish are a lot different but just as bad- some weird smell. I am a long time Scotch drinker and my favorites are strong Islay peated whiskies so intense drinks are no strangers to me but this is just some horrible stuff.

Just say No
Guys, this is considered garbage in Brazil. Don´t buy. It costs about 3 pounds in Brazil, if that much. To the chaps of masters of malt: Just take this out of your site. You have great stuff, don´t offer this.
