The folks at Hogan’s in the Malvern hills know their apples. That's because they make delicious cider, and here we have an Apple Brandy, distilled from that very cider! Produced from English cider apples which are slowly fermented over several months, the cider is then copper pot distilled in small batches. Finally, the brandy is filled into oak casks and matured for three years, allowing plenty of rich vanilla and spice notes to mingle with the appley core. Core... Geddit?
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Plenty of richly fruity apple funk and silky honey. Toasted oak and vanilla balance warming cinnamon and a prickle of pepper.
