Darroze L’Unique Assemblage 50th Anniversary 70cl

This almighty Armagnac from Darroze was created to celebrate its 50th anniversary! It's a multi-vintage blend, with each component selected from a significant vintage in Darroze's history. This includes a 1974 vintage, 50-year-old Armagnac from the same year that Darroze began, bringing richly tannic depth and spice. There are also 1982 and 1985 vintages, both hot years, bringing volume and fullness to the blend. A portion of 1994 vintage Armagnac marks a turning point for Darroze, when it adopted lighter barrel toasting, for subtler oak influence, preserving the character of the fruit. Finally, a helping of younger eaux-de-vie from 2002 and 2011 brings fruity, fresh balance. An immensely impressive celebratory assemblage from the legendary Armagnac house!
