Baron de Lustrac 1970
It takes the finest eaux de vie to create Baron de Lustrac’s vintage Armagnacs. After distillation they are placed in 420 litre oak barrels. The oak calms the more feisty brandy of the eaux de vie and imparts the wonderful colour, flavour and smoothness.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Poached prunes and spring violets. Smooth sweet honey that has a coolness to it that reminds of fresh pine needles.
Palate
Smooth, the prunes are joined by figs, with luscious waves of butterscotch and hints of nutty, rancio.
Finish
Full of the sweet lingering embraces of rich toffee, honey and oak.
Overall
A superb Armagnac filled with an array of delightfully sweet flavours that stay with you long after drinking.
