Joseph Drouhin Savigny-les-Beaune Clos des Godeaux 2018
A marvellous red wine from Maison Joseph Drouhin in Burgundy. This expression is produced with the 2018 vintage of Pinot Noir grapes, harvested from the Clos des Godeaux vineyard in the village of Savigny-les-Beaune. A period of between 14 and 18 months in French oak barrels imparts a glorious, silky texture and rich depth, making this a top accompaniment for rich meats and game.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Robust and fruity with dark plums, blueberries blackberries, and cherries. Wafts of floral vanilla, some sweet tobacco, earthy undertones bring a touch of herbal spice.
