This right here is Chapel Down's 2019 vintage Bacchus, an excellent wine made with grapes that the producers say is England's answer to Sauvignon Blanc! The grapes are grown on a variety of soils, including chalk, clay and loam soils, and they're pressed in whole bunches to make sure all the aromatic excellence makes its way into the wine. Enjoyably bright and fragrant, with juicy fruit notes standing out. Pair with seafood or Thai dishes and you're on to a winner.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Pineapple, papaya and mandarin, with a flinty hint tucked away, leading to soft melon sweetness later on.
