Tavel is the only AOC in France devoted to rosé wines. But the wines are very different to the ethereal, so pale they are almost colourless wines of neighbouring Provence. Tavels are wines with heft, often not far off red wines in flavour and structure. They are incredibly versatile, working well with everything from red meat to a seafood stew - just like this Alain Jaume Tavel Le Crétacé 2018.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Serve cool but not stone cold and you'll be rewarded with very ripe strawberries, orange peel, herbs, just a touch of tannin and an almond note on the finish.
