Single Malt
1 Jan 2018
Sherry

A limited edition bottle of Yoichi Japanese single malt, delicately peated and finished in sherry casks before it was bottled at 46% ABV by Nikka in 2018. The maritime nature of Yoichi whisky, combined with the fruity flavour imparted from the sherry cask, makes for a complex and interesting dram.

Buttered toast, smoked bacon and salted caramel, dried fruit, dark chocolate and potent nutmeg with a whisper of peat.
Berry syrup, fresh strawberry, sweet malt, indulgent praline and notes of leather.
Distinct medicinal notes of tiger balm, and a hint of chocolate returns.
