This stunning Yoichi was distilled in 1990 and released in the beginning of early 2011 after 20 years of ageing. It is made with four different types of single malt, all made at the Yoichi distillery.
Buttery, dry old sherry, hints of oak, smoke, a little soya milk, a touch of stem ginger in syrup. Peat smoke, green oak, pine resin and forest floors.
Cinnamon, sticky toffee pudding, soft peat, soy sauce, turmeric and stewed fruit. A touch of dried banana, parsley.
Long and peppery with crisp, tangy, gripping oak.
