Yamazaki is Suntory's flagship single malt whisky, from Japan's first and oldest malt distillery. This 12 year old first came onto the market in 1984 and was the first seriously marketed Japanese single malt whisky. Since then, it has acquired something of a cult following, and for good reason! A wonderfully elegant and smooth single malt that’s certainly not lacking in flavour.
Good body with plenty of nut oils and zest, a pleasant floral character with a little tropical fruit and a rooty note.
Smooth and soft with good sweetness and winter spice. A lovely citrus note develops with more tropical fruit notes and a little rum.
Medium with fruit and zest.

Found a bottle at a great discount and found it to be a let down. Too smooth and boring. Even saving $30 off other stores I can find equal if not superior aged Scotch for less money. Just didn't do it for my taste
On the rock and a little slice of lemon, you never stop until it finished. Best of the best , 5 stars for sure !
Amazing Whisky! Even my wife whom doesnt even like whiskey loves it!
I just sampled this head-to-head with Aberlour's a'bundah and for me the Aberlour was clearly the winner ...and at half the price. Back a few years Yamazaki 12 was same price range as other good 12yr scotches and tasted like one. It still tastes good with its sweet floral notes but one has to judge if this little extra is worth the price.
Don’t need to say much....... Bloody good Whisky. Sad to say my bottle is now 3/4 empty!!! ?
