Wolfburn Coronation of King Charles
A commemorative single malt from Wolfburn, released to mark the coronation of King Charles III. In 2019, the then Prince Charles paid a visit to the distillery, which included a private tasting in the still house. This single malt emulates the style and profile of his favourite sample on the day. It's unpeated and spent just over seven years resting in bourbon barrels, resulting in a gently sweet, soft spirit, boasting all that classic Wolfburn character. A release of 600 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Orchard blossom and poached stone fruits with a drizzle of syrup, backed by delicate oak char and biscuity malt.
Palate
Dense layers of dates and dried fruits, toasted nuts, and cakey spice followed by oaken vanilla and butterscotch.
Finish
Maple and vanilla wrap things up sweetly, with elegant spice resting in the depths.
