William Larue Weller 2015 Bottling Note

Here it is, bourbon fans - the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection 2015 William Larue Weller! This stands out for being the only wheated bourbon in the range, which imparts its own fascinating character on the whiskey. This year, the William Larue Weller has been bottled at an imposing 67.3% abv after 12 years on second and sixth floors of Buffalo Trace's I, K, and L warehouses.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed info and/or photos just get in touch!

William Larue Weller (2015 Release) Reviews

Potent sauce

Some of the best out there

The Best there ever was

Although Bourbon preferences are very subjective, in my opinion (and a great many other experienced Bourbonists opinions) this is the pinnacle of Bourbon expression. The finest ever made. Puts Pappy to shame for a fraction of the price. The level of depth of the flavor is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Lots of alcohol too, but the richness is like no other bourbon.

It's a great bourbon

Unfortunately I could not rate this 2015 release because it was sold out before I could hit the buy button. It seems to me that all of these bottles have been moved to cabinets, as collectors items. Nobody creates and sends a review. I do pity this because a whiskey like this one is to be shared with friends instead of collecting dust.
I did review the William Larue Weller 2011 version, is to be found elsewhere.
