Wilderness Trail is very selective with its small batches of bourbon, releasing as little as 12 barrels at a time. This one has a high rye content with a mash bill of
64% corn, 24% rye, and 12% malted barley, and was matured for a minimum of four years in barrels with #4 Char, a high level to create a full-bodied and flavoured bottling.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose Toffee apples, oak char, clove, and freshly baked bread.
Palate Cinnamon buns accompanied by wood smoke and just a hint of honey.
Finish Cigar box and a little orchard fruit lingers.
